The bottom of the vessel in #2, showing Inez's signaure in both English
and the Cherokee script developed by Sequoyah and still used today for
publishing a newspaper in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Like the Japanese
hiragana, the Cherokee script is a syllabary.
