Shiko Munakata

Muakata painted screen. Just to point out that Mingei included art: The most famous person and beloved in Japan of the original "Mingei group" was a painter and print maker who wanted to be "The Japanese Picasso." These works are in the New Tsukamoto museum housed in a wonderful Minka (old farmhouse.)
